I always thought the first L4D was huge on fun factor.
Playing a character in a B-grade zombie movie alongside three of your friends is a great concept. This game and its predecessor have a lot of laugh-out-loud moments… It’s all very silly.
Great game.
Four stars out of five, because even though I tried to believe Valve that this was truly a standalone game worthy of full price, one still can’t help but feel like “hmm… this really should have been an add-on DLC for the original L4D). It’s definitely worth buying, but slightly feels like a ripoff at the same time, somehow. Blame EA I’d imagine. Sad that gaming has become so subject to greed.

Not sure if it makes me play better but I sure look cool using it!!! The price was unbeatable!!!
Great product for the price I paid. Works great. No complaints about it. Alot better than paying 60 dollars for a brand new one. Would recommend it anyone looking for a great deal.
This is a sick game controller for the 360, in addition to a different layout of buttons, it now has more colors to choose! This is a 30 ft range wireless controller and there are 14 buttons in all, 2 toggle sticks, 2 bumpers, 2 triggers, 4 colorful buttons and the xbox guide button and start and back buttons. The controller fits very comfortable in your hands and can be connected to a microphone. The controller also has two vibration motors, which makes very realistic vibrations. For example, when driving and you hit a wall, it vibrates just like the real world. The xbox guide button is located in the middle of the controller and lights up green leds to indicate what player you are. The xbox guide button can be pressed during gameplay, so you can chat with someone while your game is loading. The d-pad is very odd, it looks like a entire button, but it’s 8 way directional, so i won’t be so blunt about this. The controller is very durable, unless you throw it on the ground. I’ve had the right trigger break, because of my clumsiness. These controllers are fairly priced on amazon.com, 20$ used, so it’s a very good deal. The bad part is that the controller is not rechargable, unless you buy a rechargable kit to plug in the front of the controller and plug into the console to save batteries.
The one thing that I absolutely love about this console generation is that the three companies have finally evolved past wires. The days of having a chord plugged into your consoles are long gone, and I’m glad. So many times when I was younger, I recall playing video games and having someone trip over the chord because they were in a hurry to get by. This usually resulted in the console falling to the floor due to the force in which the control chord was pulled during the process. Now, none of my consoles have ever fallen onto the floor since no one can ever trip over the chords. The Xbox 360 controller is great and feels extremely comfortable. The two analog sticks have a nice grip to them, and the shoulder buttons are easy to access due to the curvature of the back of the controller. The controller’s curves make it easily fit the shape of the player’s hands, and the positioning of the battery cover is out of the way yet still also gives your fingers something to rest on providing extra grip. The four face buttons are a nice size, and the even spacing between them allows for quick hit and release and transition from one button to the next. This is very beneficial in games that require large combos where the button range is widely varied. The center Xbox button allows you to quickly access the dashboard. Once on the dashboard you can either sign in/out, load music, turn off the controller, turn off the system, and tons of other extra features. The controller runs off of AA batteries. A complaint that many have against the controller. However, I find this to be a major plus for the controller. Simply purchase rechargeable AA batteries for under 20 dollars and you won’t have to worry about constantly throwing away batteries. Since the controller does not feature a built in battery, this also means that you don’t have to worry about taking the controller about to change the battery once it no longer holds a charge. Instead, a simple change in rechargeable batteries and you’re good to game again. The d-pad is rather awkward, and its design is my only complaint against the controller. The d-pad is built exactly like the one found on the Sega Genesis. The Genesis had a bad d-pad and this also reflects on the 360. In fighting games especially is when you notice just how bad the directional buttons on the pad are. In Street Fighter, for example, Ryu’s special move is done by pressing down, down-forward, forward + Punch. On the 360 d-pad, it sometimes mistakes the down for a down-forward, and the forward sometimes even for an up-forward. This is the only problem with the controller, otherwise it is very stellar, very durable, very reliable, and free of all chords. You can’t go wrong with this controller, and you can’t go wrong with choosing it any color either, I chose the black due to personal preference.
This is really just your standard Xbox 360 controller painted black. However this is one of if not, the best designed controller ergonomically ever. Feels very fluid, not clunky at all to get used to. You could hold this thing for hours and you wont even realize it. If the developer of a game brings a fluid control scheme, you forget you are even holding it.
The best price for this 12-month XBL card is typically on Amazon (or maybe sometimes on Costco as well). But with free shipping, Amazon is best deal. The other benefit of using one of these cards each year is that you don’t need to link your XBL account to a credit card (which can end up being a hassle if you ever want to cancel!)
PSN games like uncharted 2 are just as good online as XBL games like halo 3, in terms of latency, at least.
why does Microsoft continue to think they can charge for XBL gold in light of free PS3 and PC online gaming?
Xbox live RULES!
Halo 3. Mega Man 9. TriggerHeart Exelica. Madballs. Sega games. Ikaruga. AND MORE!!!!!
Don’t wait, jump in today. So many people still have not experienced the awesomeness of LIVE!!!
My fiancee was under the $6 a month plan – this is a much better deal. We bought this card for $40, which is better than the $72 we WERE paying.
Xbox Live really contributes to the gaming experience. The connection to Netflix is almost enough to get it RIGHT there. It helps us to maximize use of our Netflix subscription AND any games we buy (expansion releases).
Microsoft Xbox Live Gold Subscription Card with 1 Bonus Month
Its a must have for any real true gamer. Go with the GOLD to max out your fun
This product is an absolute waste of money. Unless your Xbox is sitting almost on top of your wireless router it won’t pick up a signal. Not only that, but it is impossible to replace the short, stubby antenna on this item with a better one or a booster. Microsoft has made yet another overpriced, worthless product! It is so frustrating as now we had to buy a wireless repeater in order for the signal to reach the Xbox, which is only about 30 feet from the original router. Definitely would NOT recommend!
The product arrived new, unopened, and unscathed. Delivery took exactly two days with the special 2-day Prime delivery service trial, the network adapter itself works well, and it sets up just like xbox Live is set up.
Easier and neater than running wires through my house. I have had to reset this thing by replugging it into my xbox a couple of times but has not been a major issue.
Great product works great and allows me to place my Xbox 360 in any room I want. Of course, the price is more reasonable from [...]
When I bought this product I put it on a new never used credit card from Amazon . Within a few hours it was explained in an e mail that the order did not go through and was canceled . I called Amazon Credit and explained the problem and I was informed that the sale was not registered on my account. At that point I was told that the sale would not occur. I did not get upset . I have a paypal account with ebay and found the adapter ( new ) for less money , purchased it and received it rather quickly . And about 3 – 4 days later the adapter from amazon arrived , so I would not have to go through amazon and explain this to them again I kept the adapter and now have ( 2 ) . One for a back-up . Note: both my grandsons love the game and although it is starting to get expensive it is worth every penny . than you , glenn.
ps; did e mail the seller when they had requested a review and they were kind enough to say they would take it back. Guess I was upset and stubborn I did not send it back . If only I wasn’t a man life you be so much easier.
L4D2 brings a lot to the table. Right out the box we get all kinds of upgrades to the original’s frenetic zombie-mashing gameplay and a ton of new modes, characters and features.
For the naysayers, let’s review the new:
- New survivors with new dialogue. Ellis is priceless before each chapter.
- New zombies — 3 new special infected in the Spitter, Jockey and Charger (all fun to play in versus and scavenge, I’ll add); 4 uncommon common zombies including zombie clowns and riot police and tons of variety to your normal zombies.
- New weapons — Grenade launcher, SCAR assault rifle, Sniper rifle, Magnum, Riot shotgun and more.
- Melee weapons — katanas, cricket bats, machetes, frying pans and baseball bats, etc.
- Ammo types — Incendiary ammo and explosive ammo.
- 5 new campaigns. Four of which are extremely different from one another. The atmosphere and design this time around are so much better.
- Scavenge mode. Amazingly fun multiplayer game in which four survivors have to collect gas cans to fill up a generator while the zombies try to stop them. Each round the teams switch. So much fun to play.
Just know that L4D2 is a lot of fun. And if you like shooters or zombie games, this should be a no brainer. It’s a bit harder than the first game but that’s fine too. The online play is fun as heck and all the new features are a joy. Great game. Valve hits a home run once again.
Get online and play.
