Every level in this game is uniquely created to challenge and stimulate. The cut scenes are nothing short of mini movies. One of the last cut scenes lasted over an hour. What a blast to “play” the movie. MSG4 is basically a well thought out and executed video game/ movie that involves you. There is little to no offensive language (as most first person shooters on the PS3 contain today). And there is this cute little girl name Sunny that is involved throughout the game. At first I didn’t know what to make of it but as the game continues, she becomes very helpful. Thoroughly entertaining from start to finish. My wife and kids watch me play almost the entire game and they had a blast watching the story unfold.
Help answer the question about playstation 3
How do you lift the cover off of a Playstation 3?
My friend has a playstation 3 and another one of my friends games got stuck in playstation 3 the system. How do you get the disk out? It won't eject the disk no matter what and of coarse, it won't let any other disks come in. How do you lift the cover or even get the disk out? Nothing came up on the playstation website so please give me lots of info.

I bought my PS3 shortly after it released in 2006. I’ve had it for 3 years and have put a LOT of hours on it since I got it. I knew at the time that buying an original release model meant a good chance of having problems with it. It locked up on me once or twice over the past 3 years, but nothing a push of the reset button wouldn’t fix. Sad news today though, I have experienced the yellow light of death. Many Xbox fanboys might point and laugh, but considering the fail rate of the release model 360’s, I say that this thing did pretty good. It had a decent run and has served me well over the past 3 years. It survived well beyond its warranty and I got good use out of its many features, most of which the Xbox does not have.(i.e. blue ray, extra usb ports, rechargable controllers, camera card reader, and free online play and internet browsing) The death of the system is the only complaint I can come up with for it, so I am planning on buying a new one since they are only $299 now as apposed to $599 at release. It costs a little more than the 360, but with the extra features, you get what you pay for. When you consider buying an Xbox and a Blu-ray player, your going to spend $300 anyway.
I’ve made a review on the Xbox 360 and rated it as the best gaming console, PS3 is the best entertainment console.
PlayStation 3, gives you a TOP OF THE LINE Blu Ray player for less money than a stand alone player would cost, you also get a HD gaming console capable of 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. The PS3’s internet browser allows you to surf the web, without turning on your pc or such, making viewing websites or youtube or such easy.
PS3 also get’s updates very often, therefore allowing you to feel and know that your software is always updated. PSN’s online gaming service is great, I would rate Xbox Live 93% and PSN 90%, that’s great and they both surpass Ninetendo’s Online Gaming by far!!
Even though I like playing my 360 much more than PS3, if I had to make a choice I would pick the PS3, simply but its a 1,000$ – 2,000$ gaming system, that your getting for 299$, so it’s a huge steal, because it’s wayy under-priced.
i havent played games on this yet (guess i wasted money), but i love the upconverting feature and love how i can play backup movies on it…
i use memorex bd-r and they work flawlessly with my unknown brand blu ray burner (buffalo)
I had an xbox 360 for 8 months sold and got the ps3. So far i had it about 3months. And have no proplem with it except it froze like 1 or 2 times. Besides that it work great. So far loving it better than xbox 360
I have been using one since July 2009 and I would like to say a few things about it. PS3 is a supposedly very advance computer. It could be an awesome media center instead of just being a game console. However, at its current state, it is like a V8 engine running only on 4 cylinders. Partly, this is because it is not being optimized to do anything else but play games and watch video. The internet browser is terrible. It is slow. Worse, it can hang if you go to certain sites where its browser does not support. It also hangs sometimes, while transitioning in a game, and after watching a dvd or blu ray. This is especially annoying because I use it mainly to watch bd and dvd. I’m not sure why it does that but I hope future firmware updates will fix these issues. Otherwise, the quality of the video playback from blu ray, dvd or game, is simply fantastic.
Great follow-up to CODMW1. Ya, its VERY similar but if they changed it too much everyone would be whining and complaining about how its too different. So, shut up, be happy, and go kill some terrorists. That’s the point of the game…right?
This game is great for those who loved the first COD4. It features many new weapons and achievements and is fun to play co-op offline and online with friends. This game is a must have for any PS3 owner.
Este es uno de los mejores juegos de tiros que hay!! excelente para jugar online!!
Amazing game! Awesome story line…even more fun online multiplayer with friends also if ur gonna be playing online its better to buy this game for PS3 because online is FREE and 360 is not! Even if ur not a huge fan of FPS this game could change ur mind.
I thought this game was gonna have a long story to it but its very short and the ending just sucked THERE IS GONNA BE ANOTHER MODERN WARFARE GAME!!!! but the graphics are cool and the multiplayer is totally cool, the special ops is better when you play with 2 players.
My bonus came in. Just enough to buy either an xbox elite or a playstation 3 slim. choices are very good as long as you do your research. I combed the web on both machines and the Red Ring of Death (RROD) and noise and heat complaints and comments can be found by multiple reviewers ON THE XBOX 360 in general.
So, I decided to check this out myself with a visit to the local Gamestop store to see and hear both machines side by side. Sure enough, there was the XBOX in it’s stand sounding like a jet engine even in it’s plastic see through enclosure and then I looked over at the PS3 sitting on it’s stand perfectly quiet but still running a beautiful demo, everything about it said “quality” from it’s beautiful finish and straight tight and perfectly fitted buttons, edges and tastefully contrasting smooth shinny surfaces and matt black case, tiny sharp lights indicating she was running and all was well and will remain so. The PS3 is a work of art in technology and fit and finish and quality. The poor xbox 360 looked positively stone age compared to this latest generation.
So, before deciding on playstation I remembered some words of advice, buy the maching based on it’s games and not technology and I remembered how IBM and OS/2 were the better technical combination rather than Microsoft and their Windows product but anyone buying OS/2 soon found themselves without the best software. So checked out the games for each machine…Xbox had the most but PS3 had the best made for PS3 games and quality is better than quantity so I then had one more decision to make, 120 gig PS3 or 250 gig for only $49.95 more?
Then I remembered another lesson I learned in the past, one can never had too much disk space and for fifty bucks more I more than double the space and double the future fun…it’s a bargain, the 250 gig PS3 is the real bargain.
Now please excuse me while I get back to saving the universe in the incredible gameplay and larger than life galaxy of “Ratchet and Clank, Tools of Destruction ” a made for PS3 game that clearly needs a blu ray disc to hold this matching work of art.
My apologies to Xbox owners.
I love it……the wireless part, able to watch 1000’s of netflix titles….and the connection to the internet……wow……the blue ray disk player, and it makes my regular tv look better than my plasma!
Buy it…I am so busy playing, I don’t have time to write!
Prior to getting the PS3, we had a Sony BluRay player, an Apple TV and a PC hooked up to our Sony Bravia LCD TV. PC was used for Netflix and backing up the Apple TV, Apple TV was used to rent and buy movies, and the Sony BluRay Player simply played BluRay DVDs. After learning about the functionality of the PS3, I was sold.
We’ve had it for about 2 weeks now and I am ever impressed with it’s capabilities and quality. Keep in mind, this is the first type of gaming system like this we’ve owned (we do have a Wii but I put this in a different class). Here’s my take on the various functions and their quality, smoothness and quickness of processing/playing.
Gaming – Amazing quality with no hesitations at all (playing Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2) and I’ve been playing quite a bit since we first got it. Like the Wii, you can download old games like Mortal Kombat II and new ones for PS3 and the PSP. Initially, I didn’t think I was going to play that much but the graphics and the games have been really cool. Not much of an online player at the moment but it seems that most have this option available. Even Mortal Kombat II. You can create user profiles on the PS3 which automatically link to saved game data. Automatic and very nice. Create additional users so they can advance at their own pace.
BluRay – Discs load quicker than the Sony BluRay player we bought about 9-12 months ago. Thoroughly impressed with the quality of the picture. You can also play older discs and they’ll work just fine.
Netflix – You’ll need to get a disc from Netflix to be able to do this. We’ve watched Instant Watch movies via PC/Internet on our TV and the quality wasn’t too bad. I say acceptable and sometimes the movie would freeze for a few seconds. On average about two freezes per movie. We were expecting the same thing via the PS3 but were dead wrong. The quality is AMAZING and there has not been one hiccup in the video. This really impressed us…and I’m a picky [...] so don’t take that compliment lightly.
Renting/Buying Movies/Shows via PlayStation Store – Lots of shows available for viewing, including the current season of whatever season you’re into. We don’t rent these but it’s nice to know we can in case the DVR gets goofed up for some reason. As for movies, the files are larger compared to Apple TV/iTunes downloads but with this the quailty is much better. HD movies are available but they’re pretty big, about 6 GB! If you’re buying movies then it’s worth the wait and the extra 5 dollars. SD movies are still good quality for basic rentals. However, if you have a good cable connection you may want to rely on your On Demand Rentals to bypass waiting for long HD downloads. Again, PS Store is good for purchases and I encourage it to save on materials/resources…go green where you can.
Only downfall with buying/renting movies this way is that the files don’t have chapter markers so you can advance through sections of the movie like you can with a DVD. Hopefully they change this.
Internet – If you need to access the web you can but you’ll probably want to pick up the Logitech keyboard to do this. The speed of browsing isn’t too fast and the viewing area isn’t the largest. I’ll walk over to my computer to do a search rather than use the PS3.
Photos/Music – Depending on your computer setup (Mac or PC) you may need to get some additional software in order to turn your computer into a media server. Then, through your wireless network you can access the music and play it through the PS3. Same goes for photos…or you can load the photos onto the PS3 directly, same goes for the music. Really amazing features but take a little research on what file formats are compatible, etc.
PS3 Backup – With an external drive attached, you can back up the PS3, which is great.
Overall, I say go for the 250GB if you’re into being green like me and wish to download games, movies and load photos and music. This device is truly an all-in-one and like I said, I’m picky. Not to mention I understand technology pretty well. If, after taking a realistic inventory, you will use all or the majority of the services, grab one of these suckers. I’d also recommend going Sony for your TV and surround sound. They all work really well together.
Enjoy!
Another good system to add to my sony collection. The playstation is a wonderful system that at first i didnt like but got hooked on since the first Playstation. Naughty Dog and Insomniac, creators of the crash bandicoot, jak and daxter, spyro the dragon and ratchet and clank series, still follow Sony with games that are a must have. The trophy idea is a fun system to try to just collect as many trophies as one can to level up. Fast downloadable which doesn’t interfere with gameplay since you can download it on the background. Interestingly enough, the ps3 has printer features which you can connect your printer to the ps3, not sure how, haven’t tried it.
The slogan “It only does everything” is sort of true since it can’t play ps2 games but the online accesibility is fast and reliable.
The downloadable content is well done, however more games should be added like the call of duty series from the ps2.
The fan and noise issues aren’t that bad as people suggest. The heat isnt as strong as the xbox360 pro, but havent checked the elite to compare it with.
Online gameplay seems cool however some disconnection issues may occur. For online chatting with your friends I would reccomend the accesories though they arent needed but help with communication. Bluetooth connection allows you to use your bluetooth headsets so no need to buy the playstation headset.
Overall it is a great console with many features. Like all systems it has its features and the lacks. But if youre into gaming mainly single player or co-op or maybe even online without paying 50 dollars yearly, it is a good console to buy.
The extended warranty sony gives to the console is unbeatable by any non-online retailer. 100 dollars for 4 years. However I’d recommend squaretrade.
