It’s a great game because it has great graphics and besides has a great control and skill.
Help answer the question about ps3
How to disable stupid pop ups on the ps3 when watching a movie on the ps3?
I either get a stupid error message or some other message that says ps3 something like ps3 media has been disconnected with the server... Annoying pop ups, it doesn't mess up the video or anything but I'm getting sick of this because this shit always happens when I watch stuff on my ps3. I am watching movies from my psp through its memory stick on the ps3.

I’m an avid God of War fan; beat both on God/Titan modes for both back in the day and the challenges so this was an automatic add to my library. For older fanboys like me, it’s well worth the current price but the improvements are not much considering some minor flaws. I realize that it’s almost a direct port from the PS2 + HD resolution, but what’s up with the box art? Maybe the laziest box art I’ve seen yet, along with the title menus and navigation. They couldn’t have come up with something more orginal? I realize this is nitpicking, but after playing the past installments you almost expect nothing but perfection. Also, the gameplay itself BTW is in HD, but the cut scenes are not – kind of a distraction as this was almost a seamless transition in the game in the PS2 installments. If you never played GoW before, this should be a great experience just based on gameplay, but the story itself is spectacular and will have you in anticipation for GoW III.
Pros:
Trophies – If you’re a trophy junkie you’ll get almost 90% of these just in one playthrough; heck, you get one just opening a health chest with full health!
Improved Visual/Framerate – With the exception of the cutscene everything is improved visually and the gameplay seems much smoother.
Cons:
Odd R2 button function – There are several parts of the game that require R2 buttom mashing. For some reason the PS3 controller R2 button does not exactly match the sequences like the PS2 controller. You may find yourself mashing the R2 for 10 minutes on a simple door until you get the feel for it.
This game is a lot of fun. Great graphics, great controls, and great story line.
The only thing I don’t like is that there are a few places where the game is frustratingly difficult, even on the easiest setting. To me it’s just not fun to have to spend days and days trying to get past one little thing (like a jump that has to be perfectly set up and timed or a monster that you just can’t figure out how to kill).
I’m making more use of hints/walkthrough pages on the internet than I’d like, but otherwise I’d probably have given up.
If you are a fan of God of War, you know that it is a great series, I have been waiting for this to be translated over, and it looks really good, not has good as GWIII beta but it is still very sharp and a great play. well worth the $35
I never got the chance to play the originals on the PS2 so I don’t have much to go on in retrospect, but I’m glad I made the blind buy. I will say that these games look amazing in pristine 720p considering their age. I found both games to be highly entertaining, incredibly addictive, and makes you want March 2010 (when GoW III comes out) to come ever so much faster. With the added trophy support, replays are definitely in order. This is a great addition to any PS3 owner’s library, especially if you don’t have a BC machine. I preordered the Ultimate Edition of God of War III thanks to this
God of War is my favorite ps2 series, now I can enjoy it on my ps3 at 60fps and in HD!
The only downturn was that the in-game movies didn’t get remastered, but it didn’t bother me at all.
I’ve made a review on the Xbox 360 and rated it as the best gaming console, PS3 is the best entertainment console.
PlayStation 3, gives you a TOP OF THE LINE Blu Ray player for less money than a stand alone player would cost, you also get a HD gaming console capable of 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. The PS3’s internet browser allows you to surf the web, without turning on your pc or such, making viewing websites or youtube or such easy.
PS3 also get’s updates very often, therefore allowing you to feel and know that your software is always updated. PSN’s online gaming service is great, I would rate Xbox Live 93% and PSN 90%, that’s great and they both surpass Ninetendo’s Online Gaming by far!!
Even though I like playing my 360 much more than PS3, if I had to make a choice I would pick the PS3, simply but its a 1,000$ – 2,000$ gaming system, that your getting for 299$, so it’s a huge steal, because it’s wayy under-priced.
i havent played games on this yet (guess i wasted money), but i love the upconverting feature and love how i can play backup movies on it…
i use memorex bd-r and they work flawlessly with my unknown brand blu ray burner (buffalo)
I bought my PS3 shortly after it released in 2006. I’ve had it for 3 years and have put a LOT of hours on it since I got it. I knew at the time that buying an original release model meant a good chance of having problems with it. It locked up on me once or twice over the past 3 years, but nothing a push of the reset button wouldn’t fix. Sad news today though, I have experienced the yellow light of death. Many Xbox fanboys might point and laugh, but considering the fail rate of the release model 360’s, I say that this thing did pretty good. It had a decent run and has served me well over the past 3 years. It survived well beyond its warranty and I got good use out of its many features, most of which the Xbox does not have.(i.e. blue ray, extra usb ports, rechargable controllers, camera card reader, and free online play and internet browsing) The death of the system is the only complaint I can come up with for it, so I am planning on buying a new one since they are only $299 now as apposed to $599 at release. It costs a little more than the 360, but with the extra features, you get what you pay for. When you consider buying an Xbox and a Blu-ray player, your going to spend $300 anyway.
