Would you believe I lost some weight playing this. When I bought this game, i thought it is a regular game with some sand bag boxing kind of stuff. But it has a lot more to offer. It makes you continously throw diferent style of punches. There are different boxing exercises and it is never boring. The best exercise is the one with squats and you will literally start sweating when you play it for 40-45 min. Another powerful and useful exercise is the Jumprow, which motivates you to keep skipping for 5-10 min continously. I burnt a lot of calories with that. I have tried dieting and Gym but this yielded the real results. I would recommend this for everyone who wants to stay fit.

I purchased the original Wii Fit when it was released. Right away I noticed how limited my options were with the original game. Wii Plus was well worth the $20. The new features (programming your routine) are great not to mention a wide variety of new poses and activities.

      A Wii tale:
We waited in line for several hours the day Wii Fit came out. We loved it and personally I enjoyed using it more then the rest of the family. I like the way it keeps track of your BMI and weight. Its a simple, fun, exercising tool. Well I used it so much that whenever my son wanted to play Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel he would not take care of the Wii Fit disc that well. Move ahead a few months and it became so scratched it was unusable. Luckily I had copied the basic game to the wii.

      Wii Fit Plus:

When we heard this game was coming out I was very excited. It definitely lives up to the excitement. Maybe because we were original adopters of the first Wii Fit, we can appreciate the subtle and overt changes that were made. The games are enhanced by the new adapters to the Wiimotes. Overall the games are more fun, have better control and can keep us interested.

      Pros:

      >> Better games
      >> Better control
      >> Seems less insulting (for us obese folks)
      >> New tracking and guides

      Cons:
      < < Still seems too kid-like
< < Wish it had a few less Yoga games and more active games.

Overall this is a fantastic version whether or not you are upgrading from Wii Fit.

Thank you for reading my review.

Love Love Love this game. I specifically like anything that gets my heart racing and is fun at the same time. I’m exercising without realizing it. I Love the obstacle course on this. I get so mad at myself when I make a stupid mistake (like not jumping in time) and having to start over. My only complaint would be that there aren’t more activities although I think it’s a great deal for 19.99 with what’s included. I don’t go near the yoga or the strength training. I feel like I can do that on my own if I want to. I got the WII fit for the fun of it. The obstacle course is my favorite and I many of the other games are running a close second.

We use the walking activities with our treadmill and they would work by just high-stepping or walking in place. When your legs get tired you can use the remote as a dumbell to “walk” along with the game course while you do strength training with the Wii-mote in one hand and a dumbell in the other. Lots of fun and different levels. Of course, it’s great when you get the Wii Balance board too and can do the full panel of balance exercises. My 92 year old mother loves it, and I like doing my treadmill walks with the Wii-mote in my pocket.

“Wii Fit Plus” improves on the original Wii Fit, even though it suffers from a few setbacks in a slightly cumbersome menu system.

Some gamers have grown tired of “Wii Fit,” because the basic balance and aerobics games didn’t challenge players enough. Thankfully, the upgrade provides 15 new games and a nifty “My Wii Fit Plus” feature.

This new menu gives players the opportunity to choose specific combinations of exercises to relax people or to tone their bodies. Probably the most useful ones are those in the “Form” section to tone your muscles and the “Health” section to shave off those extra calories.

There’s plenty of fun games too. “Snowball Fight” plays like a Time Crisis shooter, but with snowballs. With all this technology, you may wonder why Namco hasn’t produced a Time Crisis game with the Wii balance board by now.

Other fun games include “Rhythm Parade,” a tricky marching game which requires people to wave their nunchuck and remote in time to the Beatmania-style diagram on screen. Players also have to step in time to the rhythm, making this a challenging exercise.

“Perfect 10 Plus” is the most difficult of the games, forcing players to bump their hips in the proper directions to add the numbers up to 10. The game considers this as a mental coordination exercise, but the concept might turn out too tricky for some players.

All the games are welcome additions, except for the clunky flying chicken one.

Last, but not least, are the new Yoga poses and strength-building workouts. These are actually some of the more useful, advanced programs which take advantage of the balance board to sense the proper balance of the person’s body. For instance, the spine extension Yoga poses stretches out the backbone, while also sensing whether there is 60 percent weight on your front leg when you are bending forward.

Plus isn’t without snags though. The game interface doesn’t record the player’s high scores when they perform combination workouts in “My Wii Fit Plus.”

Also, some of the new “Training Plus” games require very little use of a person’s body. No one will get a full workout with “Snowball Fight,” which only requires people to aim their remotes and lean left and right on the board.

However, these are only minor complains. “Wii Fit Plus” is a worthy purchase for anyone who wants to use the complete capabilities of the balance board. The $20 game adds enough features to please fans of the original “Wii Fit” and newcomers to the physical fitness genre of gaming.

This game is great, but really, it’s not so much that it’s a fun GAME, moreso as it is a fitness training game, much like Brain Age, where you take on educational challenges to lower your brain age, putting the fun in playing all the challenges and making you strive to better your results. It’s like Wii Sports in the way that it involves your body and upon playing for extended amounts of time, you begin feeling physical effects, though in this, feeling the burn is the objective of the game. I personally never really went to the gym when I got this game, even though I had a membership at one, I really found that Wii Fit was a fantastic way to get my blood boiling and my muscles working in a fun, engaging way, without the monotony or embarrassment of the gym.

Overall, this game is a great game for those that love challenge-based games, and lovers of trial games, like wii sports, warioware, and brain age. Get it if you can, and remember that it’s a game and have fun!
