I love this toy. It is close to the real deal Megatron. My son plays with it and I love that it isn’t an easy puzzle to put together. Everytime I atempt to transform it, it is a challenge. I’m glad I bought it. = D

oh yeah Megatron! The original badass! I’ve never seen any TFA but this Meg looks 10 times better than ROTF Meg so I bought this instead. His overall colors and the big ass gun is so G1. Head design seems to take cues from both G1 and movie, but it works. Alt mode is perfect. The chopper with a huge cannon looks intimidating. Chopper blades rotate in sync with each other. Pressing the Decepticon logo in this mode makes flying noises, and in bot mode it makes Meg say one of three short phrases like “crush the Autobots” or “where is the All-Spark”. The launcher is powerful, I swear that thing shoots 10 feet easy. He’s got the standard transformation sound that seems to be included with all leader and ultra class figures, triggered when you transform the cockpit piece. My only gripe is that when the cannon is attached, the arm can feel kinda loose. Legs also look a little short, and the knee joints are a tad loose, more b/c the figure does weigh a bit. But overall, I’m very happy with this figure. This is the Megatron we deserve, unlike the stupid Bay-gatron we got in ROTF. TF fans go out and buy this now! Peace through Tyranny!
This toy was a gift for my grandson who is 2 years old. He absolutely loves it. He went crazy went it was delivered. I was very satisfied with everything, including the delivery which came 2 days earlier than we thought.
I love Animated figures: cool desigh, nice transformation. This Megatron is near perfect, all the classic reference with a modern touch.
this is by far one the best Megatrons ive Seen since Generation 1 and with his transformation and i love how he has his fusion cannon like his G1 self
this is a must pick up i think the only downside is when u put the headmaster on megatron there is no sound changes like on leader class bulkhead.
When you open the Megatron’s box, you find a big figure, its colors are so like Megatron G1 and it has all detail as you see in the tv show. The transformation isn’t complicated and the light and sounds are funny. Megatron change from robot to modern helicopter choper and it’s fantastic. The blades come to sword and he’s ready for the attack. I would want than the level of transformation be hard but isn’t all bad.As transformers’s oollector I recommend this figure. 4/5
I was skeptical at first about buying leader megatron because of the bad paint job. I am glad I waited for the Premium series. His repaint is AWESOME! on top of it he’s a great figure and relatively easy to transform.
This is a really great toy. It has a smooth metallic silver color, which is exactly how he appears in the movie, and it is very durable. Do not purchase the other leader class, which has a discoloration gray and is not the color portrayed in the film. If you are looking for a true Megatron similar to the film, than buy this premium leader class. Megatron rocks!!!
It’s a fun toy. It’s a little hard to transform at first, but becomes easier with time.
Bought this toy for 5 year old grandson. He, and his two older brothers, love it.
Let me start by saying I initially HATED Megatron’s movie design. While I knew he couldn’t really logically turn into a smaller handgun in a live-action film, I felt that a tank or a huge ground-cannon would have still been more preferable than what we actually got.
As time went on though I watched the movie a couple more times and I started to like the less intelligent and more brutal interpretation of the character. I started to realize that his monstrous/demonic/alien appearance really worked well with the new interpretation of the character and I started to really become a fan of the new design/look for the character so that made the release of the movie leader figure all the more painful to me. The initial Movie Leader Megatron was, for lack of a more brilliant critique, a piece of trash. It was a travesty to have to see him get the weird white, pink and blue colors that he didn’t have in the movie. The voyager-class version was a little better than the horrible fugly leader-class Megs but it still didn’t accurately capture the movie design in my humble opinion.
The great thing about Hasbro though is they certainly know how to redeem themselves for their mistakes and the premium series was like a gift from the Heavens to us Transformers fans who actually liked the movie designs but hated the initial movie figures with the poor paint decos and horrible QC (quality control) issues.
So fear not, the few of you out there who actually like Megatron’s movie design. Premium Megatron is, as much as I hate the expression “all that and a bag of chips.” Hasbro really got the dark grey/silver colors from the movie down and the paint aps look great. They aren’t “Jin Saotome (a world-famous action-figure customizer) great” but they’re great nonetheless and they really make the figure stand out on your shelves. There’s even really subtle “battle damage” and burns that you can see if you pick the toy up and check out all the neat features and gimmicks.
In these days where the economy is pretty weak it’s hard to justify paying $50+ for a figure but Premium Leader Megatron is definitely worth the $$$ if you love the movie design and were disappointed by the way the first Leader Megs turned out.
I don’t know if little kids would really like this guy or not but as a collector and fan of “Movie Megatron” I really felt like I got a good quality toy for what I paid when I bought him.
Its a very close reproduction of movie Megatron, but is a shame that it doesn’t have much articulation on both arms, but overall, it’s a great piece for a collectionist, even to play with its very fun, what can I say…
