COMPLETELY agree with everyone. I bought this for my 1-year old son, and as soon as I took it out of the box in front of him he ran off to play with it. There is not much else I can say than anyone else hasn't mentioned yet. Well, other than it's the most durable truck out there that I've seen, and I see A LOT of toys EVERY DAY. I also do a lot of research on ANY toy I buy, especially when it comes to BPA and other harmful chemicals. This toy is 100% eco-friendly, safe of any chemicals that can be harmful to your child, and made right here in this great country of USA!!! Mother-approved.

I bought this toy for my son's 4th birthday. He loves it! He mixes sand and water in the mixer and it actually comes out the chute. The water tank was a little disappointing because the water seems to drain out of the hose very quickly so it is hard to mix it up with the sand fast enough. The entire toy is durable plastic, very little metal, so it should be a good outside toy that shouldn't rust.

My 4 year old son received this for Christmas last year and hasn't gotten tired of it yet! He loves that he can turn the barrel and mix up his "cement" (usually water, pebbles and dirt!) and it comes out of the chute! He also loves using the water hose that takes water from the little tank on the top. The nozzle of the hose is not secured well and can be a choking hazard when it comes off, so take that into consideration when allowing a small child to play with it. The truck has proven to be very durable. It still looks great almost a year after purchase and has been played with constantly! This brand of trucks is a little pricey, but well worth the money! You get what you pay for with toys- so spending your money on a durable and engaging toy that isn't played with for a week and then forgotten is money well spent!

We got this cement mixer for our son two years ago, when he was not quite 3 years old. From the first day, he was thrilled. I think he liked that it was bigger than his other toy trucks. He had no trouble figuring out how to make all the parts work, and has played with it pretty regularly since then. Overall, it's a nicely detailed, sturdy truck, that has provided him with many hours of entertainment.

Some of the parts of the truck do come off from time to time - the hose gets disconnected, the pail doesn't stay hanging on its hook, even the main mixing cylinder has been known to come off from time to time. The nice thing, though, is that they're easy to reassemble, and the parts themselves haven't broken, even with a couple of years of not-so-gentle use. In my book, that counts toward the "durability" rating. They're a bit more expensive than some of the alternatives, but the quality is much higher, as well.

Overall, we've been very pleased with this truck. We got our son another truck from Bruder last year, and will get another one this year. He loves them, too, and that's the best testimonial of all.

My son LOVES trucks and although this truck seemed a bit pricey ($[...]) I am so glad I purchased it. The truck is very good quality - sturdy with real rubber wheels. The fact that it actually functions alone puts it above any others you may be considering. It has a tank that you can fill up behind the cab that allows a hose to function that is part of the cement truck, and if you fill up the cement mixer with water and turn the crank it slowly pours out of the cement chute at the back. After purchasing this truck I checked out the maker's web site - I think they make every truck imaginable!

My 4 year old son loves trucks. He has a few other Bruder construction trucks and loves them all. The drum turns on this cement mixer, which is his favorite aspect of this truck. They are very durable, he likes to play with them outside and they show no wear and tear from that.

My 3 1/2 year old grandson had a great time playing with this dump truck (and with the matching excavator) in both the sand box and our 'dirt' box when he came for a visit last week. He loved playing with them and he is the one whose opinion counts!

I bought this truck for my 2 3/4 yo son to play with outside. It's held up well, has a lot of features, and he really enjoys it. The first thing he said though, was, "Where's the driver?" These trucks don't come with drivers even though there is a place for them to be inserted. Eco-friendly and inexpensive! Sprig Toys says this is in the works, but it seems odd given that they have other "people" with some different vehicles

My little boy is a truck expert and this truck is one of the few to pass muster. The back dumps, it has a door that opens and the front cab tilts open. This is very important to my son who wants everything to "work."
Also, the wheels are very high quality and they go on carpet, floor, you name it. It made me do a double take because I thought it was operating on batteries for a second. Until my son said, no ,he just rolled it.

Highly recommended and such a great price!

My 18 month old son likes this truck a lot. It rolls well, and he has figured out how to use the rear swinging door. He's still too young to figure out the passenger compartment and the dumping action, but he'll grow into it. The truck seems sturdy and well built.

My one complaint is that the latch that releases the dumping action is touchy, and while I'd rather for now (because of my son's age) have it always shut, instead it seems to pop open on its own sometimes. I wish it had a better design for the latch. Other than that, and it is a small quibble, I really like it.
