Great gift idea! Purchased for my Godson’s 1st bday and he loves it!!! I know that my kids always loved the scoot about toys (we are still learning how to pedal). I would highly recommend (and so would my 2 & 3 yr olds, who personally gave it their seal of approval)!

I bought this toy for my 9 month old grandson. He loves it. It is very durable and child friendly. He’s spent hours playing with it both riding and just sitting on the floor playing with it. The only bad thing is he went through the batteries within 3 days. Hopefully fresh batteries will last longer than that. I give it a 5 star rating. Well spent money!
My son has had this toy for 2 years, beginning when he was 16 months old. The plane has a catch in the back so that it doesn’t tip backwards, but there is nothing in the front to keep it from tipping forward. We had a number of incidents where he was trying to climb off or on, and he leaned too much on the front, causing him and the plane to launch forward. Luckily, we never had any injuries other than a few minor head bonks. Even when he was a little older and had used the toy for a while, he would still have trouble occasionally. He was over 2 before he really got the hang of it, but by then he didn’t like it as much. I will admit that despite the safety flaw, he did love this toy when he was young. I cringed every time he found where I hid it though.
This item should be out of the market ASAP because its not safe at all for the children under 2 years old. We got it as a gift for our son’s first birthday and since then he fall (tripped over) 5-6 times. Balance of this toy is not right. Because the front wheel of this toy is not all the way in the front. So when children try to push it forward, the front of the toys is bend down and the baby falls over and hurt their head by hitting the floor.
You can see on the picture that the steering handler is just over (actually little pass over) the front wheel. But for the toy to be stable child’s body weight has to be behind the handle otherwise the toy’s nose will just dive in and the baby would trip over it.
In the beginning my son just used to sit on it and push the buttons to play different sounds and propeller. But now he knows the can ride it and thats when the fall happens.
I’m going to contact the “consumer reports “and the company itself to recall it from the market. Physics of this toys (weight shifting balance) is just dangerously wrong.
I bought this for a one year old, birthday party. It was a hit and barely out of the box before being put into action, by the birthday boy. By days end every little kid in attendance had a run on the Elmo Airplane.
This was the HIT of the Christmas season. Our Sammy loved it. No worry over the spinning propeller. She sticks her little hand right into it and it stops cold! She loved the lights and the buttons to push. The wings fold up so it is easy to store. It’s a toy you would want to keep for the “next one”, stable, sturdy, and loveable!
My Grandson loves this scooter. He is on the tall side for 2 1/2 and this scooter is still a good size for him. The steering mechanism works well so staying on a curved sidewalk is no problem. It is sturdy but still light weight. The ONLY problem (and thank goodness) the wheel base is too wide to go down a Little Tykes slide. Yes my little dare devil thought that would be big fun!
very sturdy bike, easy to put togeather. possibly a great toy but so far our 16 month old has shown little interest in it.
