Our son is currently nineteen months old, and I’d say he’s very satisfied with this tool set. I agree 100% with my wife’s review, including the only possible downside being the blue building pieces being uninteresting.

Grandmother comment. This got the least play of the rattles I bought, perhaps because of the age of the children, still very attractive. I would imagine it will get attention over time.
I have been used this product almost for 2 months but our child doesn`t like it much. On the other hand I`d like it has smoothie handle and all pieces look like real tree. I would not say it is a best toy but above the average.
Like another reviewer said the rattle being swung around has been the cause for some tears from getting pegged by the wooden leaves. My only other beef is that it’s not really easy to wash and has gotten a little funky. Aside from those two things the rattle is great and is visually pleasing even now that my baby is a little older.
I got this for my 3 month old and I thought it was an adorable rattle when I bought it and was really looking forward to getting it. But when it came it was much smaller then It looked online and the two larger leafs are wooden and seem dangerous to me. I love the shape of the handle, its perfict for little baby hands and the little bird is very cute but its not really a rattle. You have to hold it with one hand and use your other hand to make it clack and if its shaken too hard it hits your hand and hurts. I plan on taking the wooden leafs off when my daughter starts to really play with things so she wont hurt herself but I still over all like it.
Initially, when we took the rattle out of the package, my husband and I were a little disappointed that the rattle did not “rattle” as much as we expected it to. However once my little girl got a hold of it she showed us how it was done (; I guess an 8 month old knows more about these things than we do. She especially loves chewing on the little felt chicken at the end. Quality of the toy looks good and it has held up so far after two months of use.
We bought this, among a few other Sassy Earth Brights toys, and this is our son’s least favorite. We got it based on the picture, which is not accurate. The description is correct, but it doesn’t look as nice as the photo. The leaves are too big to chew or make noise easily (for a baby) and the middle ring (D-shaped, as described but not pictured) is hard to grab. The middle ring is also too chunky and crowded, so baby can’t get a good bite on the flowers or the ring itself. (We bought these specifically for chewing on, since that’s all our son wants to do right now and we thought it would be nice to get away from chewed plastic!!)
My granddaughter loves this toy. It is safe to chew on, no toxic paint, natural dyes and all natural wood.
The red flower got a lot of chew time. The babies liked it. Hard and soft.
There is absolutely nothing fancy about this rattle, but that’s what I love about it. As it is made of wood, it makes a nice “clacking” sound, which my baby really likes, and the flowers offer a traditional rattle sound, crinkle sound, and various textures. It’s easy for my baby to grab, but she is a little older (8 months when we bought it). If your baby is younger and still NEEDS many thin loops or easy handles to get tiny fingers stuck in (in order to grasp objects), then this rattle may be more difficult as all of the pieces are chunky. Frankly, the primary reason I bought this was because it felt like a cleaner, safer, more earth friendly alternative to the many plastic rattles available, and it has met all of those expectations. This is not a toy that will hold attention for hours at a time, but it will keep her entertained long enough to stop fussing in a waiting room or a line. Finally, my baby does actually play with this rattle instead of just chewing on it, so if you’re wanting a chew toy, this probably isn’t what you’re looking for (besides, would you want to suck on a block of wood?).
This is an excellent all natural toy option. It is very nicely made and I love the fact it is all non-toxic paints. It will be great for our little one as we are trying to “go green.”
My son loves this toy at 5 1/2 months…it was a little too much for him before that – and may be too much for a small 5 1/2 month old. I do find that I’m a little paranoid that the little balls are going to pop off since everything makes its way to his mouth. But I check them ALL the time and they seem really solid. Overall – great entertaining toy!
We love the Skwish, and my 7.5mo does, too! It’s easy for him to grab and he likes chewing on it, which is why I purchased the Natural finish as opposed to the painted version of the same product. The Skwish ‘collapses’ so it can fit into a diaper bag which is also a nice feature. I also really like the sound that the wooden balls make when you gently rattle them back and forth.. it’s very soothing.
Yeah, guess which one wins out at our house. Was all excited to get this arguably great product from a great company. You know, feeling like you’re doing the best thing for your kid, etc… Oh no, he does think it’s a fun thing to throw, and it makes a nice loud noise when it hits the wood floor, but he has yet to bite it once, despite several charming attempts at acting this out by his parents. Toilet paper roll cores, plastic cups, books, garbage can foot pedals….all make more sense to him to bite than this nicely hand carved wooden teether. Note this is not a negative comment on the product itself. Also, since the company recommends coating it with beeswax, that should either be included or available at low cost on the product page.
These teethers are the BEST. They may not be freezable or vibrate or have some shiney faced character on them but my daughter prefers these over anything else. The maple wood is naturally bacteriostatic, and the natural beeswax is hardley noticable. My only warning is to keep it out of reach of a puppy!!! Our little puppy liked it as a teether too!
This little teether is the perfect size. My daughter isnt teething yet but Im sure she will love to chew on this. I only wish it was pre-finished with the beeswax your supposed to rub on it. Buy beeswax if your getting this item, or youll have to wait longer to use it.
My son is 6 months old and this is his favorite teether! He is not a fan of the cold ones, so I bought this one after reading the reviews. He really enjoys chewing on it!
At first I was a little concerned that a wooden teether would be too hard. But, I was wrong. My daughter loves this teether. I can’t leave the house without it. It’s also nice to know that she is not putting plastic in her mouth all the time. Also, other reviews mentioned that they thought this teether was too small. I disagree. This teether is a perfect size for my 5 month old.
