My 4 year old son loves this toy and he plays with it almost every day since he got it. He stuffs in his other small toys as well and sends them to the space. It is a well constructed and durable toy, my only complaint is that the lower door keeps popping off.
This was so worth the money. I bought this two years ago for my now 3-year-old. We have hardwood floors. Add those together and most toys would easy break under such conditions, but this toy has withstood many MANY hours of play.
Both my son (3.5) and daughter (1.5) have enjoyed playing with this toy quite a bit. It is very durable (Have owned it for 2+ years and not broken in any way) with no small pieces to get lost or choked on. There is a volume control (hi-lo) and everything but the alien and his pod fit inside the rocket. Great toy!
I’m very “anti-loud-flashy-obnoxious-toys,” but even though this makes noise it’s at a very acceptable volume (on the low setting!) and not some annoying song about counting or something like most FP toys. I got this for my son for his 3rd birthday, and he loves it. The handle is great for him to drive it around and the countdown really excites him! I love to find toys like this that are durable and not made of a million cheap pieces, because I feel safe having my 9 month old around it too. My only complaint is the bottom hatch, where the moon buggy parks, is really hard to open and my son can’t do it at all.
First of all, this toy according to Amazon.com is not for children under 3 years of age, so I was OK buying it for a 5 year old. However, when the toy arrives it is right on the box, toy for 18 months and up. From the looks of it, it is a “Toddler” toy, not a Kindergarden toy. Second, I purchased it on September 30, just 6 days ago and I paid $39.99. Today, it is being sold for $32.99 on amazon.com This is not ebay, we should not have to watch for prices to be lowered before we purchase, especially at this time of the year when this grandma is trying to purchase toys early before they run out of a toy a grandchild really wants!
Simple toys for the tub. They are durable and creative. Do be sure to drain out each “bug” to avoid mold inside of them. A bit steep in the price.
My 14-month-old daughter received these as a gift, and they’ve turned into her favorite bathtime toy…by far.
She loves scooping up the butterflies and snail, putting them in the net, taking them out, squeezing each one (there’s a small hole in each for drainage, and my daughter loves squeezing the bug, releasing an arc of water). She even wants to play with this set when she’s on dry land.
A great gift idea!
The larger handle and the chubby bugs make this a great item for little ones to grab ahold of. This was a christmas gift for my 15-month-old niece. She loved grabbing the bugs and putting them in the net. Good item … great colors … easy to play with.
This is perfect: good size, not too heavy to move around, the top comes off, my son never hurts himself or gets stuck inside, and it is extremely durable (it has been tossed around my son’s room quite a bit). My only complaint is that my two y/o couldn’t reach all the way to the bottom of the toy chest – but he just climbed inside to get what he wanted. He is a shorty though, so I assume this wouldn’t be a problem for most kids.
