My 6 yr old daughter has had this doll for a year and a half. She STILL plays with this on a regular basis!
My 4 yr old son has the “Joey” version. They love to play and make up stories about what their characters are doing.
My daughter is 3 going on 4, and the paper dolls are hard for her to handle. She is just too rough for the paper dolls. This however is sturdy, and she can’t tear it up. She and I have had lot of fun playing with Maggie together. I love to see the outfits she creates. I do wish it had a better lid, but that is my only complaint. We haven’t even lost a shoe yet.
I’m a huge fan of Melissa and Doug toys so when I saw this dollset, I knew it would be perfect for my two-year-old. She has so much fun with this dollset. The only downside is that there is no cover for the box so we can’t just put this in the toybox when she’s done playing. We have to keep it on a shelf and we’ve already lost several pieces.
We also have Nina ballerina and princess Elise, but Maggie doesn’t have a plastic top to keep the pieces in which I am finding VERY frustrating since we store the other two on their sides, like a book, on a book shelf. I just don’t get it! Other than that it is a really cute dress up toy and the skirts and shoes and gloves are interchangeable between the sets (some tops are, not all). My two boys like it too!
I purchased this toy for my great niece’s second birthday. Her mother said she is able to play with it quite effectively and enjoys it. Her mother and I both agree it should include some type of bag or box to store the pieces in as the container it came in does not have a cover. Good quality item.
My 6 year old Daughter got this for Christmas of 08 and she still has some! She uses it to make so many things. She uses it on bracelets she makes she uses it instead of glue,Not under something where you cant see it,but on top where it makes here craft even more pretty!Ok,my older daughter just told me she has also used it under stuff to hold it together too. What is neat about this product is it gives her the Independence that she so very much wants to have! Now she can make Mommy and daddy and sister cool presents !And she is SO proud of her self too!She will wrap her presents to us up in wraping paper and then use the tape for that too! Im buying more for her today, this product is awesome and even my 11 year old said she wants it now too after seeing all the cool stuff her little sister has done with it!Another cute thing is when she sees her dad fixing something she will offer him some of her tape to help fix it!This product brings out the creativity in your child!

Although the product is cute and my daughter loved the idea, it was difficult for her to tear the tape as the little plastic tape holders are cheaply made. My 5 year old spends quite a bit of time at my office and she loves tape. It’s everywhere. I often find myself walking around the office before I leave at night and pulling off tape from doors, windows and desks. So, I thought this would be perfect for her. I must say it kept her quite entertained and she made some adorable bracelets for all the ladies in the office by placing the tape on strips of paper and then taping it in a circle around their wrists. However, she needed assistance every time she wanted to tear the tape because she simply couldn’t do it herself. Is it worth fifteen dollars? Probably not. I’d pay 7 or 8 though.
